I have a skystar HD2 i installed dvbdream with the bda_all device to make it work. But when i scan for channels i get no channels found , but i have above 90% signal, can anybody help me configure the diseqc switch. I'm using windows vista 64 , and with the dvbviewer the original program i couldn't see anything too, so it's just weird but wiht a mirage receiver i can.

Seems to be a driver prob if DVBViewer also didnt work...

Should i try and install Xp or Linux ubuntu to try and make it work, because what i find odd is that when doing the scan i have signal but when it starts searching for channels on both programs dvbviewer or dvb dream it says no channels found i even tried the patch for diseqc that's on this site the codecs are working i don't know what to do. I also changed the drivers for mantis as it's the same card doesn't work either. I even tried the commands for diseqc and no luck. I don't think it's card malfunction because it's detected by windows and i have signal when searching for channels.

P L E A S E - separate sentences and meanings !!!! Your posting is NOT really readable.
A D D I T I O N A L: Please separate different problems in different sentences / block's !
AGAIN: You have to install the Card-Driver well ! Otherwise no Software can connect to the Card if it is not installed properly ! Make shure to have this elementary thing done correctly !

I used the new driver in techisat website but in the manual it says it should install as network adapter, mine is installed as an HID device.

The HID is the RemoteControl of the Card !
The Card should appear as a NETWORD-CARD or as a BDA-Device under Audio/Video/Gamecontroller.
If you get signal and quality in DD (and / or DVBViewer) it could be a prob of missing Codecs.
Did you install the org- soft properly ?
Did you select any codec in DD ?
Please give more precisly informations ....

I installed the software that came with the pci-card, i just didn't intall the video editing software.
Yes i have the BDA device under audio/video.
The codecs i have K-lite codecs and i choose coreavc for decodning h.264, and ellecard codecs and ac3.
I only get signal when searching for channels i have signal on some transponders but when it finishes scan it says no channel found.

Which Operating-System ? Vista ? More than 2/3 GB ?
If yóu have installed the dekivered soft named DVBViewer completely, the card should work.
If not, there could be a hardware and / or driver prob.
Is it possible to test the S2 HD in another pc ?

A german user who is using same Hardware / OS / RAM reported of known probs at TechniSat.
Conclusion:
Remount 2 GB from Mainboard or reduce max. RAM-capacity to 3 GB or lower in MSCONFIG.
This will help.... hopefully on your side ?!

I have connected the power plug in the pc card, in the manual it said it was optional.
Doubt it would be a hardware problem or it wouldn't be recognized by the pc.
I have a diseqc switch, and i tried everything since not configuring it , add a 4 way switch, even send raw commands.

It seems it worked i'm scanning channels on astra already.
But it's just stupid , why can't i have more RAM,

Seems to be a bug in the driver.
Also can have probs after updating to SP1.
Technisat knows about that prob since 3 month ....
